OUR STORY
Forty years. One long bar.
Parlay’s history is a story of Lakeview—good nights, hard resets, and a neighborhood that keeps showing up.
THE HEART OF LAKEVIEW
More than a place to grab a drink.
Parlay’s has spent more than four decades as Lakeview’s meeting point: the place where a quick stop becomes a long night, strangers become regulars, and the same sixty-foot bar holds thousands of different stories.
Through storms, fire, rebuilding, and changing generations, the reason people come back has stayed remarkably simple—the bar feels like it belongs to the neighborhood.
MILESTONES
Still here. Still pouring.
1985 · A Lakeview original
Parlay’s opens on Harrison Avenue and quickly becomes the neighborhood’s familiar place to meet, celebrate, and watch the game.
2005 · Standing with Lakeview
Hurricane Katrina reshapes the neighborhood. Parlay’s returns with the community and keeps its place in Lakeview life.
2020 · The fire
A devastating fire guts the building only days after a limited reopening during the pandemic. Rebuilding begins from the studs.
2021 · The doors open again
Eight months later, Parlay’s returns—cleaner, brighter, and still unmistakably the neighborhood bar everyone remembered.
TODAY · The next round
The bar remains open every day, welcoming regulars, new neighbors, game-day crowds, and the next generation of Lakeview stories.
